Get the chicken and waffles. You won’t regret it. The fish is awesome as well. The customer service is hard to beat. We sat outside and they never skipped a beat. Put to go order was ready with our check. Amazing.

I love Metro Diner; I'm not sure what happened today but our breakfast was terrible and our server pretty much nonexistent. Our pancakes were so tough you couldn't even cut them with a fork let alone a knife. They were very chewy, maybe over beaten batter or banked pancakes not sure. No we did not eat them they were terrible. The over easy eggs were over cooked. The hash browns were greasy and the home fries over cooked. The sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs were the only properly cooked items. Our server never came back to check on us until she dropped the check on the table. I really hope this was just an off day because I would really love to change my review.

My wife and I just went to the Tuscaloosa location and was not pleased. There was a 30 minute wait, but the wait was fine. We had asked to be seated at the bar because several seats were open, but the hostess said she didn't know of there was a sever available. So 15 minutes into our wait another couple of two came in and asked to be seated at the bar and was immediately seated. I hope this is not typical behavior for their hostesses, although I'll never know because I'm not going back.

Ordered for curbside tonight. Spent $61 and the order was to be ready at 7:30. I arrived from across town at 7:34, checked in on the email waited. 20 minutes later I went in. Waited 10 more minutes. When I finally got home with the food the home fries were burned the chicken pot pie was so salty dry it was not edible. In addition there were only 3 occupied tables in the place plenty of staff. They knew I was irritated at the 30 minute wait as I left the girl in the kitchen made it a point to yell loudly in a smart tone “Have a great night!” There is no excuse for being treated that way although in the past we have enjoyed meals there It’s highly doubtful that we will be back.
