They mostly offer Austrian meat based dishes, but they also have very good vegetarian and vegan options. We tried both the chickpea curry and the couscous bowl and they were both very good.
After a long day of skiing here for dinner. You have to reserve, there are no tables. We had only the main dish, I had prepared the white schnitzel and a salad that were both quite good in the standard Austrian style. Service was fast and efficient, they also have some standard Austria beers on taking and some wines on the glasses. All in all a very good experience.
Fresh homemade cuisine, very pleasant host, unlike standard austrian dishes, we had to return to dinner several times
We went there with high expectations, given by a local. But we didn't like the food. Probably wrong choice because we had a curry and fish. Honestly, too far from the sea, too far from Asia. Next time better the local kitchen. And maybe restaurants should stay there....
We dropped in here on the off-chance, and were fortunate enough to get a table. The restaurant has a slightly odd feel to it, almost like being in someone’s house. We only had a drink and main each as we were a little pushed for time (footie on at 9pm . I had the tagliatelle, which was lovely, my wife had a vegetable curry and my sons had chicken Cesar salad and chicken breast with pea risotto. All dishes were expertly presented and very flavoursome/gorgeous. The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars and not 5 is because the portions were more nouveau cuisine (so don’t go here if you are famished , and the cost was pretty steep tbh. I’ve become accustomed to paying higher than UK prices in Obertauern for drinks and food alike, but I expect decent portions and a good vibe to a place to gain 5 , this is the most expensive place we’ve visited in our wonderful week here.
