Dicarlos Italian Cafe

If you have access to the Marine base, you shouldn't miss this Italian restaurant. The food and atmosphere are absolutely fantastic. I give it a perfect rating all around: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

During my time living here from 2016 to 2018, my mom and I visited this restaurant frequently, and it was always fantastic. While I don’t recall every detail, I remember that this place truly stands out. Kid-friendliness: The staff were very accommodating and friendly during our visits, although some may no longer be there. Service: Dine-in Experience. Meal type: Lunch.

The food was excellent, but the prices here are a concern. The combination of California pricing and the recent price increases under the MCCS management feels exploitative, especially for Marines and Sailors who are already facing BAH reductions and the challenges of being away from friends and family in a tough environment. Overall, it's a frustrating situation. Service was for takeout, and it was a dinner meal.

The food was absolutely terrible—perhaps the worst I've ever had. The wings were soggy and unappetizing. They didn't even bother to cut my pizza. I've had MREs that tasted better than this! My friend's pasta looked like vomit and tasted even worse. This dismal place should really be shut down. I'd rather eat a can of Beefaroni.
