Papa Johns Pizza - Twentynine Palms

Attention, Smart Shoppers: Avoid this location! Today, I ordered a "special" large pizza for $9.99, which included two toppings. I chose pepperoni and, unsure of what else to add, they suggested extra cheese as the second included topping. However, when I went to pick it up, my total came to $12.41. They explained that $2.42 was for taxes, but when I raised my concerns, they attributed the extra charge to the cheese. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues here. I always forget to leave a review, but this is too much. Are they pocketing the extra fees? I will be contacting corporate tomorrow.

The NY Style pizza here doesn’t have a crust that stands out at all. If the sauce and toppings aren’t reaching all the way to the edge, then it's not true NY style. Please stop wasting our time. I’m not a fan of Papa's crust and only order when they offer the NY style. The other Papa’s in Yucca gets it right.

I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. I'm very disappointed not only with the quality of the pizza but also with the service. The pizza was soaked in so much sauce and grease that it felt more like soup—so difficult to pick up or eat. When I arrived to collect my pizzas, the woman at the counter was incredibly rude. She was covered in food and flour, and had a rather sour demeanor, even though I was polite to her. She was older and had blonde hair.

What a joke. I ordered a simple pizza a couple days ago and the driver reeked of cigarettes, and was noisy when driving up after waiting what felt like forever. Food was undercooked, and when I called to complain I was put on hold and ignored untill the call disconnected. The pizza wasn't even cut all the way through. All I wanted was a pizza and I got a headache. Not worth it. Avoid at all costs.

Papa John's has really stepped it up. That New York style pizza is great. Had it a half a dozen times now. The service is quick and the help is always professional. I highly recommend this establishment.
