Ordered the breakfast burrito and a latte. Both were really good. Breakfast burrito was one of the best I have had. Decent portion sizes on many of the meals as well. Will definitely come back.
LOAF is independently owned and operated by local entrepreneurs; Annaleigh Grace Sturmann and Kirsty Lissa and is built on the philosophy that fresh is best! They first tried their hand at the cafe game in Cronulla and after a roaring success have set up shop in Stanwell Park. Loaf has jumped on board with the NSW Governments Dine and Discover voucher program so what better time to check them out when you get $25 of your meal paid for by Gladys!! We headed in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Kids and dog in tow we were greeted by friendly staff at the cafe’s shopfront. They directed us to the rear of the venue which opens to a very pleasant alfresco area complete with kids play area and they are dog friendly!! Already off to a winning start! After a quick perusal of the menu we ordered our breakfast fare, coffees and a smoothy for the kid’s. Meals arrived a short time later and the servings were generous and represented good value for money. Presentation is great and the food fresh and skilfully prepared. The stand out meal was the Big Boy Roll. Think of a bacon and egg roll with the addition of crunch slaw, pickles and zesty mayo. The result is a very tasty creation that tastes somewhere between a cheese burger and a egg and bacon roll. It has a very American feel to it and served with a golden hash brown it went down a treat! The brekky burrito was packed with eggs, bacon, stringy cheese, mushrooms and a hash brown! A zesty mayo gives this hearty meal a spicy kick. Delicious! The egg and bacon roll was as described and served on a fresh roll. There was no skimping on the crispy bacon or eggs. The avocado on toast comes with two slices of sourdough topped with sliced (not smashed... thank you!! avocado and charred leek. The addition of candied chilly, lime amd basil oil bring a run of the mill dish to the next level. The chilly packs a hot punch so if you don’t like it hot it would pay to let the kitchen know when you order. The white horse coffee is a perfectly roasted bean expertly transformed into delicious cups of dark gold. The cap, flat and tall black we had were all on point and rounded off a very enjoyable meal. Loaf has a range of house made sweets and slices and the peppermint and ginger slice we tried was rich and delicious. The kids slurped up all of their banana smoothies that we were confidently informed were great! Loaf is definitely worth the drive and should be on your list of go to cafes when you are in and around Stanwell Park. Thanks for a lovely brekky!
Excellent cafe have been coming here for a long time on and off, delicious coffee service and food. Always consistent. The smash avo with candied leeks, chilli and basil oil is a huge winner. Never disappoints.
We needed to escape busy Sydney on a sunny Sunday afternoon, so we decided to visit LOAF after finding such great reviews for it. We sat in the back courtyard under a nice big umbrella and enjoyed massive sandwiches, fish and chips, coffee and juice. The sandwiches were so big, I honestly didn't know where or how to begin. The rainbow sandwich was great and I loved the candied chilli in it. The Portuguese chicken sandwich was also really good and definitely filling as we almost couldn't finish it. The kids fish and chips was a great big serving too! The coffee was amazing. I need my coffee to be good, so I wasn't disappointed. There was a kids play area at the back with sand and a slide which kept the kids occupied. There's also a change table for bub in the toilet which is super handy. The resident cockatoo kept us and the kids intrigued while he waited for people to vacate so he could enjoy the left-over chips. One thing I would recommend is that they fix the fencing along near the bathroom as my son fell through and there were a couple of nails sticking out he's all good but it could've been bad! I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area and need a good coffee hit or a feed.
