(For context, I?ve been vacationing in OBX for 30+ plus years and have tried many many many I?ve cream places). Not a ton ofseating indoors but there is also some outdoor seating. Parking for 10-15 cars or so. Will get busy and have a decent waitduring summer vacation season. Also, local owners who give back to the community and good causes. Highly highly recommended.
Great place for frozen yogurt. Staff was friendly. You will notice money sticking in and out of the walls. It's collected for helping those with autism. Included with the photos is a picture of what they do.
I appreciate what they do after reading all the stories and signs in the store. Got the ice cream sandwich at a nearby grocery store. The ice cream part was a little bit too hard, but the pistachio flavor was good. Then I tried the yogurt ice cream whichwas kinda pricy, the taste was watery and icy, not that creamy. However, the watermelon flavor was impressive.
This is the perfect spot for fro-yo. I loved every single thing about this place. From the huge French porch to the open design inside. I really appreciated how they have people wait after getting their cups before the next group goes so your froyo doesn'tmelt while your waiting to do toppings. Also they had a wonderful concept with putting money on the walls to make a wish andthe funds going to Surfing for Autism at the end of the season. See picture below for full story.
Really cool atmosphere at Surfin' Spoon. Wide variety of vegan friendly choices of gelato, frozen yogurt. So many toppings like, sliced fresh fruits, cookie crumbles, cheesecake cubes, sprinkles, candies, chocolate chips and hot fudge to choose from, that Iwish I had grabbed the large instead of the medium cup.
