I've been coming to Simms Steakhouse frequently in the past year and the king crab legs have always been outstanding until last night. In previous meals the king crab entrée included whole legs that were sliced for easier meat extraction. Last night, the legs were cut in half lengthwise and were rubbery and not hot enough. As I said, very disappointing after the exceptional legs in previous meals. I was also disappointed that Simms Steakhouse no longer offers the A5 Wagyu filet. It is beyond doubt the best filet I've ever had. I'm saddened that I won't be able to have this exceptional cut of meat anymore. The service, as always, was excellent.
One of our regular “go to” spots for years because the staff is always outstanding and the views fantastic. Unfortunately the Happy Hour menu has continued to diminish to only a handful of options while the prices have continued to creep up. The mussels were 3rd rate and not what you expect from a Landry’s. I would avoid HH in the future there are better options in the area for this and mussels at another spot were significantly better. Hopefully their dinner menu has maintained the reputation of the brand…..
Very loud. All tables have good views. They ran out of the ahi tuna which was not communicated to us until we were well into our meal service. Overall a good experience but noisy so not a place for a chat.
The service was great! Amazing staff. The drinks were good and 1/2 off wine Wednesdays was a nice surprise. The food was fine, but nothing special for the prices and venue. Mussels were ok, filet was fine and the bison tbone was over cooked the first time and perfectly cooked the second time. The Mac n cheese was over cooked and mushy, while the green beans were perfect. Overall a good meal but nothing to write home about.
Great food great experience first time going definitely going back
