The Flutterby House - Uvita

I’ve been returning to the Flutterby for years for a reason! The community here is high vibrationally and are such loving, expansive humans. The food is delicious. Rooms and accommodations give you the true Costa Rica jungle feel just a short walk to the beach too. Artists and travelers from all over making long term connections here that have totally changed my life. Grateful as heck for this place!

No longer under the same ownership as when it was founded but still great staff. Room locks are a tiny easy to snap padlock, no more dead bolt. They no longer have compost and recycling to reduce waste. Pretty good food and drinks, love the communal areas. They have yoga areas but only 1 or 2 mats and no more yoga silks. Some of the hammocks need new lines to hang from.

Our stay at Flutterby House was a beach lover's dream. Located just a short walk from the beach, this hidden gem exceeded expectations with friendly staff, shared bathrooms, and a fantastic kitchen. Despite not being directly on the beach, the proximity was perfect for quick shoreline strolls. The well-maintained shared facilities added to the communal atmosphere, making our stay enjoyable and stress-free. The staff at Flutterby House were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. They assisted us in arranging surf lessons at a very reasonable price, adding a special touch to our beachside experience. For a budget-friendly option with a laid-back vibe and easy beach access, Flutterby House is the ideal choice for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

We went for happy hour. Very friendly staff. Perfect set up. Locals told us about Uvita and what a special place it is. Great time.

We had a really great time there. Our cabin was super clean, the people working there were super nice and attentive. The owner León also went out of his way to help us when we were looking for how to get to our next destination. The location is close to the beach, the breakfast really good and free, and for those who enjoy electronic music, the music is great too Would definitely come again!
