The Fitz Bar Restaurant - Vail

Party of 5 (two children) could not find a reservation anywhere, the food had the children would be ok with and not cost $50/head. Both the server and the bartender were very good, but they don't control the food. Steak Sandwich was uneatable and side salad was soggy and sad. 2 in the party had burgers and they both liked them. Pretzel and accompanying dips were good. Cuban sandwich, blah.

The waiter who received us was rude, coarsely understated, bad menu and hardly ok food

It is a diving bar with under-average food. If that's what you're looking for, it's great, but I thought we'd go to a nice restaurant. It is also very difficult to find.

I sat at a table waiting for 30 minutes and no one came to help us, terrible service. will never come back

Great spot to take the kids and very affordable for the town of Vail.
