Do Chay - Vancouver

The dishes on the menu didn’t really excite me. The soup dumplings are not real soup dumpling it was a nice attempt to incorporate Vietnamese flavours. There was a gelatin but it was warm. Their happy hour drink specials were good.

Really enjoyed our meal. Other reviewers that claim the portions are small, must have really big appetites or perhaps just didn't order enough dishes?? My husband and I left stuffed with enough leftovers to have dinner the following night! Dishes were creative and flavourful. We especially enjoyed the duck fry bread and the duck noir. Really good value for a nice Yaletown restaurant.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the server brought all the dishes at once instead of serving them in order. We ordered two appetizers, a noodle soup, and a protein dish. Additionally, there was a large group of 8+ people with children who were causing a disturbance, and the restaurant did not take any action to address the situation.

Surprisingly good fusion Vietnamese food. Very creative and ultra tasty. Would have liked to see some brut sparkling wine on the menu.

My boyfriend and I went for Dine Out Vancouver. Overall, we had a positive experience. We both had the turmeric and dill black cod for our entree which was delicious. The rest of the dishes were good but not all that memorable. We weren’t too impressed with the desserts. They were very light in flavour. The service was great. The servers were friendly and attentive. We also liked the environment and ambience, casual and modern.
