He was in a rush to take orders as he multitasks because there are no waiters or any help. Therefore, he lacked patience and had no smile on his face. I clearly asked him right at the beginning if they serve everything on the Menu to which he rudely responded 'anything', which shows he is a bad listener. When my husband ordered a Veg Manchow soup, he responded they aren't serving that but instead said he will get us a Hot and Sour soup as according to him there is no difference between the two soup just that the former comes with fried noodles! This was astonishing!Okay, we respected his experience as a restaurant owner and let him bring the Veg Hot and Sour Soup, which was a broth filed with soy sauce and too much vinegar, which of course we couldn't consume more than half a spoon.Next, we ordered a plate of Paneer and Spinach momos which was half cooked and inedible. The Pork dimsums that I ordered was equally bad, the meat wasn't minced well as it should be for the momos and it was like eating huge chunks of unseasoned pork meat boiled in some water with salt and coriander leaves, the Momo's outer cover which is ideally made with maida/flour was so thick and uncooked. And witnessing we didn't eat the food, the owner had no courtesy of even asking as to what went wrong but instead he quickly took the bill. Also, there is no washroom at the restaurant, he asked my husband to go out into the open, common which world are we living in? Even Shacks in Goa must have Toilets else they aren't given the licences. And I really wonder how this place has received good reviews, either people haven't actually tasted properly cooked Tibetan or Chinese cuisine and are ignorant about what it actually tastes like or is supposed to be prepared and served or they are being too generous towards Mr Gomes and his Business partner.Last, The first Page of the menu clarifies Gerry Gomes and his Business Partner's relationship status. I as a customer and a cook myself who has hands on experience on both Tibetan, Chinese and other Indian and Global cuisines, isn't really concerned about the personal bio-data of the restaurant owners, all I look forward to is having a decent meal, doing justice to what you write on the Menu and serve accordingly and having a happy time at any restaurant, its really ridiculous to see and read these stuff on the Menu!Cooking and Serving is a wonderful art and hence must be done with passion and zeal not just to make some quick cash and undeserving name, extremely Unprofessional. Request Trip Advisor to seriously make a note of my Review so that food lovers and connoisseurs aren't fooled by people who run restaurants as this one.
The covered garden resturant has a lovely feel and brings on a sense of calm. There is parking space, but not easy to park properly as it is not in any order. The food is surely a refreshing change and healthy alternative too.
Food was good, service was abysmal. 1 man running the show who was adamant at ruining our evening. Refused to let my family of 7 sit together. Served my father in law’s food last. He has to watch while the rest of us ate. When we asked where the food was, he was rude and abrupt. The food finally came once the rest of us were finished. At the end of the evening, he proceeded to threaten my brother in law that he would cancel our booking should we not adhere to his stupid seating rule (3-4 pax at each table). Appalling treatment, shoddy service and crappy attitude by an owner who knows nothing about customer service. Ruined a perfectly good evening.
Thupka and Momos, a perfect combination for a rainy day with lush green fields all around. The Chicken Devil momos had the right amount of spice and crispiness and the thupka was a bottomless bowl filled with flavours that kept one warm. A must visit to satisfy the momo craving.Heads Up: They are closed on wednesdays.
I don't understand why is this place Tibchi's so hyped? I visited this place with my friends and the owner was not so welcoming. He was as if he was doing us a favor.. We placed our order for steam momos n they were quite average I had way better n best momos than that. The pork dimsums were so oily n so fatty with oil dripping. Then came the chicken lollipops which were way too small n tasteless n not worth the money spent. The attitude of the owner is rude n non courteous.. Overall the place is nicely maintained and beautifully done but the attitude of the owner makes it a big Miss for me.. Wouldn't recommend this place unless u wanna waste ur money on something which isn't worth..
