Some giant nugget things, mashed potato and gravy, chips and a drink: $10! pretty basic chicken quarter but still not bad. Great clean restaurant, tables and toilets were spotless and they have epic80s music on tv. I like this place will Defo go back :
Surprised how cheap this place is.I admit it did taste better in Sydney but Im sure they will get there eventially.Nandos wins with most meals as they cook their sauce with the meat but you do pay double the price. The Bondi wrap with double meat was nice $8 thats under half thw cost if my usual burgers (Grilld etc).Chips needed more cooking salt.Aioli dip was ****.Mini burger wasnt bad.Whole chickens are under $13!!Worth a visit healthier than a mince burger next door at Maca's.
Bout time!. I just about eat at Oporto everytime I go over to Sydney (usually a few times a year). Of course I had to go and have some now it's here in my home town. Sure it's South of the river, which means it's a bit of a drive but it's worth it. I normally only ever have the Otropo with chilli, I freakin love pineapple! This time I tried the triple Bondi. Damn the burger was good. Chips this time were not as good as I've had from the Sydney stores but the first time I went they were just as good, I'm guessing with it being a new store, not all the staff have got the chip cooking down pat yet.Still yet to try the chicken pieces. Maybe one day I'll stray from the burgers....
This has potential to be Superman's kryponite, if only they made these as good as they do in the eastern states. Don't get me wrong, they are still a good burger, but coming from the state that can't even cook a decent chip properly I kinda expected these not to be up to scratch. The one gripe I have is the chicken fillets, they could be cooked just that little bit longer so they turn more golden. Fussy? Yes! Harsh? Not really.Recommend? Of course, it's Oporto's! P.S. I can't believe they cook the chips perfectly! <br/ <br/ This review is dedicated to two special guys who live off my every word about food, this wouldn't be without them! :
Yum! Have had Oporto in the east coast before, but the south perth store is the best. It's rare to feel completely satisfied after a fast food meal, but the meals we had at Oporto were delicious and good value for money!
