Leaving my #UBERFOODIE REVIEW As I drive in town I like to make stop at a different restaurant. COCINA DEL CARMEN Its a different, unique seasoned food with style you got to try!!! I got me a California burrito ???? and wow meat was tender and juicy, fries were perfectly and differently seasoned than other burritos I had before , congratulations to the Cook chef of thus place,Atmosphere its peaceful, Latino music , staff very polite. Even the manager swang by to say hi . Idon't live nearby but if I'm around next time I'm definitely making a stop.
A friend recommended this place and she was right! Starting from el cafecito de la hoya, to the Tlayudas, the carnitas taco, the horchata flavored water....we left super full and pleased! The staff was super friendly attentive. The establishment is small but it works, they have one gender neutral restroom with a changing table for your little ones. To me that's a big deal when you are traveling with babies! Just saying ????! I loved the fact that they have a sinkinside the restroom as well as outside of it to wash off before eating without touching the bathroom door! Again with this whole covid thing that's a nice feature! We will definitely be back soon!
My first experience at Cocina Del Carmen was picking up an order for someone. After hearing the passion the owner had while there regarding the cleanliness and pride in their food, I decided to come back and enjoy a meal within the week. I am happy to say it was a great experience. My gf was amazed at the amount of dishes that were available with vegetable options rather than 1 or 2 like many other places. She ordered the potato taquitos, while I ordered a childhood favorite, chicken mole. We were both impressed with the quality of the food. In addition the restaurant is quaint, clean, and has a very pleasant staff. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for the best in Mexican cuisine inVista.
Great service, great food! The birria jugo was very tasty and fresh. Tacos crisped up nicely. The carnitas were also cooked perfectly, not dried out at all. Also had the right blend of fattiness and lean meat. Highly recommend this place for a quick and tasty Mexican bite, with a Oaxacan twist. Also, last but not least, they?re safe with their protocols.
