Poki Poki Vista

I usually love poke, but my experience here was disappointing. The staff member was quite rude. When I asked for cucumbers and crab as my second side, he ignored me and instead started piling all the ingredients into the bowl. I assumed he was preparing one of the online orders since there were no other customers around, but it turned out to be mine. I paid almost $20 for it! I was in a rush during my lunch break, and when I tried to remove some of the ingredients, I discovered it was overloaded with wasabi, which isn’t to my taste at all. Additionally, there were many other ingredients I don’t like mixed in. On top of all that, the staff member was barely communicative, which made the experience even worse. Now I’m left with a mouthful of wasabi burn.

The portion sizes at this restaurant are inconsistent every time I visit. Some staff members give a generous amount, while others serve much less. If you request extra, they charge you additional fees. I ordered two bowls; one was overflowing with seaweed salad—almost too much—while the other had only a small amount. When I asked for more seaweed salad in the smaller bowl, they told me it would cost $2. I agreed, but the bowl with the "extra seaweed salad" still contained significantly less than the first bowl. So, I ended up paying $2 more for a bowl that had less seaweed salad in it. It's quite amusing in a frustrating way.

The poke was absolutely delicious! The hot sauce really packed a punch—it was both painful and delicious at the same time. I appreciated the variety of fish options available. I also loved the pineapple orange juice; it provided a nice sweet contrast to the heat. The tables were a bit sticky, and there was a humorous sign about that. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it. Food: 5/5

Service was good but the owner doesn’t care about the store at all. There’s a piece of paper on the wall by the bathroom saying they have been trying to get the tables replace due to how sticky they are, and to put a tally to help them. But the owner hasn’t done anything about it. The sheet has gotten over 100 marks and the tables are still super sticky. I layed a napkin down on the table to avoid my elbows sticking and the napkin tears upon removal, levels of sticky. Owner do your job before this place goes under.

I find this place to be expensive for the decor and presentation of this place to be poor. I wanted to relax and eat my poke. I ended up taking it home. Please consider making the place more hospitable and not having your employees eating behind the counter, infront , where you serve your customers. Not cool.
