Hula Cookies Ice Cream - Wailuku

We discovered this restaurant in the shopping center near where our boat was docked for snorkeling, and we were thoroughly impressed by the delicious shave ice and cookies. This place has some of the best shave ice on the island, and we tried many. I highly recommend adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom of your shave ice - it's a game changer!

We stumbled upon Hula Cookie after a snorkeling tour and immediately decided it was a must-visit when we returned. And we were not disappointed! The staff, service, and shop were all excellent. The menu is a dream for ice cream and cookie lovers. My husband and I easily shared an ice cream cookie sandwich, which was one of their signature creations. It was two warm cookies filled with premium ice cream, and it was delicious. While I'm not sure if they offer non-dairy options, they also serve shaved ice and espresso items. Overall, be sure to stop by Hula Cookie if you find yourself in Maalaea during your Hawaiian journey.

If I bring my family to such a place, I can't just get one. the shaved ice is very inexpensive and excellent quality (including the stray holes to ensure that the sirup comes down). the biscuits and ice cone in a lot of fun, local aromes. that was the most beautiful stop of our trip.
