The Dark Horse - Waitakere

I recently went to this restaurant with a girlfriend after finding that most places were closed late at night. I was expecting low quality bar food and service based on the reviews I saw, but I was pleasantly surprised by the good service and delicious tacos and fries. The tacos were so good that I found myself craving them again. I returned with my family, and even though we were the only family there, the staff were still very friendly and accommodating. The portion sizes were generous and the food was of high quality. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including tacos, criss cross fries (a personal favorite), nachos packed full of meat and salsa, and ribs (which were above average). Overall, it was a pleasant night and I plan on returning in the future.

I have made it a habit to have the $20 steak special at this restaurant on Mondays. The staff is friendly and attentive, and I appreciate that they have a TAB for drinks and a pool table on the side for enjoyment.

I recently discovered an amazing $20 deal on Mondays at this restaurant. They serve sirloin steak on a hot stone, which is a clever way to ensure the steak is cooked perfectly. I visited this place alone a few weeks ago and was impressed by the friendly staff who made sure everything was perfect and checked if I needed anything else. I was so impressed that I brought my partner here this past Monday and we both had a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a beautiful set up, delicious food, and outstanding service.

Went there for the 2 for 1 stone grill Monday. Like it Apart from we were only told that you have to purchase a drink to get the deal when we get there, non of us drinks and there isn't alot of non alcoholic choices. <br/ <br/ Relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends. Close to the motorway.

Lovely place to eat, stone grill is always an adventure and it is done really well. I have been here multiple times and always received excellent service particularly from John who is very friendly and on to it. Definitely coming back!
