The Mad Taco - Waitsfield

We visited The Mad Taco and sampled their pork belly and al pastor tacos, and they exceeded our expectations! The pork belly taco was rich, tender, and wonderfully crispy, complemented by fresh toppings that enhanced the flavors beautifully. The al pastor was packed with a deep, smoky flavor and just the right amount of spice, making every bite incredibly satisfying. With its relaxed vibe and excellent selection of local beers, The Mad Taco is a must-visit for any taco enthusiast!

Great food! Mellow atmosphere until it gets busy then it can feel a little crowded, but usually decent folks around.

With three massive smokers in the parking lot, you can tell it's going to be great. The Cubano and the smoked chicken sandwich with kimchi were outstanding. The homemade bread, expertly smoked meats, and perfectly balanced spices made for an exceptional dining experience.

Food was meh. Prices were high for what you get. The exception was the Guacamole. My wife loved it.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! My husband and I discovered it while in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. The fajitas were absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated that they could swap the flour tortillas for corn ones. My husband ordered the burrito with seitan and claimed it was the best burrito he’s ever had. We were also pleased to find vegetarian and gluten-free options on the menu. Plus, they offer outdoor seating, which was a perfect fit for us since we prefer not to eat indoors. Vegetarian options include seitan or roasted yams, making it a great choice for anyone with dietary restrictions.
