The Dam Inn - Wakefield

Went yesterday for Carvery with friends that had never been before and had traveled from Nottingham n Sheffield . Even though the weather wasn’t the best they were very impressed with the location on arrival On walking into Dam inn we had a lovely warm welcome very pleasant staff and friends were more than impressed . The Carvery was lovely plenty of choice and the drinks too were lovely Great atmosphere great location and friends can’t wait to return Thanks to all the staff

I called in yesterday 24/10/24 with my wife to try the two for £14 offer and we were very surprised how good the meal was, my wife had hunter's chicken with fries and proper onion rings (not reformed) and she really enjoyed it there were loads of very tender chicken, I had scampi fries and peas the scampi was delicious large pieces of scampi again not reformed. I would definitely recommend that you try it. For £14 it was a bargain

We were looking for somewhere to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary on 21 Oct 2023 with our sons and their families. We had provisionally booked elsewhere we called in The Dam to see if they had any available bookings. After talking to Josh the manager for a couple of minutes we changed our mind and decided to cancel the other booking and book the Dam instead. Are we gals we did? You bet we were so were all the family. It was apparent that what we wanted was more important than what they had available. They were brilliant. Very friendly but professional as well. The service was excellent and so was the food. Everyone said how good it was. Thank you Josh staff you really helped make our day. We will be back.

Lovely Sunday carvery. Tender meat and gorgeous Yorkshire puddings. Our 9 year old said it’s the best pub meal he’s had. He loves a carvery.

Lovely food very busy .Bit of squash for getting wheelchair in due to being busy but staff very helpful
