The Olde Tavern - Wakefield

The food is always great here. Plenty of choice. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere and great choice of beers.

After years of being regulars with Dad at The Olde Tavern in Pontefract we're so disappointed. Not only was the food cold/bad but after Dad complained, it wasn't even acknowledged. I commented on their Facebook page two weeks ago but it seems they only approve positive feedback my question has been left hanging! Guess where we're not going again!!

Just had Sunday carvery here was the worst dinner we have ever had meat to thick and fatty potatoes full of lumps roast potatoes no taste very disappointed won't be back for a long time not worth 12.50

Food very good home made only thing was cant get children meals had to get adult meal so cost us 10 pounds each per child

First time visiting today for our anniversary. What can I say but excellent value for money 2 carvers with 2 puddings £17.00. Size of plates are huge, well good choice of potatoes from roast, mash and new , plenty of vegetables to choose from. The beef melted in your mouth. Yorkshire puddings are big. Gravy very tasty. Landlady was very lovely and friendly Will definitely come call back again. Thank you.
