Connie's Kitchen - Wallingford

I haven't had the opportunity to try the food at this restaurant yet, but my partner and I love discovering quaint breakfast places. Today, we decided to check this one out. Since we live in different cities, we always make sure to look up the opening days and hours. To our surprise, when we arrived, we found out they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in June and July. However, since today is August 1st, we expected them to be open, but they were still closed. As a result, we went to Scotty’s instead, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience—Laurie was wonderful, and the food was delicious!

This charming little breakfast place in Wallingford is fantastic. The food is extremely fresh, and the staff is wonderfully friendly. I've been here several times and have never had a reason to be disappointed with the service or the meals. I highly recommend it! Food rating: 5/5.

I ordered breakfast for pickup and noticed that the server was outside smoking when I arrived. She came inside right away but didn’t wash her hands. At that time, there was only one other customer in the restaurant. When I asked her to add a cup of coffee, she grumbled, "I guess I don’t get a break today!" Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The corned beef hash was just a dry clump of finely shredded corned beef on top of three potatoes. On a brighter note, the bananas Foster French toast was fantastic. I hadn't visited this place in a couple of years due to a previous experience with the service, but I decided to give it another shot. However, I won’t be returning.

This is undoubtedly the best local diner around. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, managing multiple tasks to ensure customer satisfaction. Their hard work truly shines through. The entire place is immaculate, with tables being cleaned after every use. We've dined here several times because it's our favorite spot for breakfast, and it’s always worth it. The food is consistently excellent, and the hash browns are simply unmatched. I have honestly never encountered hash browns that can compare to those at Connie's. You really need to stop by; the staff is incredibly friendly and down-to-earth, providing exceptional service alongside delicious food.

I had Connie’s Kitchen cater a lunch for a party I hosted, and the sandwiches they provided were a big hit. The assortment of sandwiches impressed all my guests, and the salad they included, along with various dressings, was equally tasty. They delivered everything right to my home on the day of the event, which made things so convenient. I highly recommend them!
