Masala - Walterhill

I went to this restaurant back in 2020 based upon the excellent reviews and excited that Maryville was finally getting more diverse food options. It was horrible! The food was obviously not cooked on site and was reheated to a barely lukewarm temperature. Surprised we didn’t get food poisoning off the stuff. Ordinary food with high prices. No ambience and run down place. Everything is done by just one person who is very talkative which makes things very slow. The Daal was just boiled and mashed lentils with no spices or saute. Okra was stale. Chana-masala was alright. Naan was the only saving grace which came along with lots of bragging by the owner. Been a few times and the food has always been very good, not a fancy sit down dinner place but if you enjoy good Indian food give it a try

I don’t get what anyone is talking about saying the owner is rude. He was kind to me and my friends and was running the whole place by himself. The food was might I add delicious as well. Definitely will return.

Small one man show come if not in a hurry and taste great flavors.
