The Castle - Wandsworth

Avocado toast with poached eggs and bacon. I went here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was. The poached eggs were slightly under, but that’s not unusual for a lot of brunch places.

Wonderful pub! Delicious food, efficient service and friendly staff. We booked an area for a family gathering and were well looked after. Thank you so all the staff working 3:45pm 9pm on February 28th 2022.

Lovely setting, huge pub. Food was ok. Service was slow as it was a weekday and fewer staff split across a big venue. I had to go and get our menus and look for someone to order, not really the point if we are paying for service

Steak open sandwich was grim quite overcooked and a horrible tasting chutney. Menu had triple cooked chips or fries, I asked for fries and got what looked and tasted like oven chips fried in old oil. For pub food this is not the cheapest so I'd expect better quality. They had run out of Diet Coke at 4pm on a Saturday! The whole pub had a horrible greasy smell as if the extractor fan wasn't working. The toilets were filthy and messy one toilet seat was on the floor! I went here 4 years ago and it was pleasant, not sure if it was because of the rugby or something but today was disappointing. The staff were lovely though!
