The Ruck Chicken was also beautifully seasoned with the right hefty dose Scotch Bonnet mixed with sweeter spices. Oxtail stew was also delicate, slim and tasty. We had ordered the chefs Calypso, which consisted of full portions of these three dishes. The owner and the staff were super friendly. The steel drum player was a surprising additional touch. We'll be back.
I am so grateful Warren Township has an amazing new dining option. The food was perfection especially the coconut shrimps, chicken wings and jerk chicken. Our children loved macaroni and cheese and of course the steel drum band. The NJ wine was a delicious surprise. Don't debat and leave this jewel!
The food is delicious. Owners and employees are super friendly. Every dollar worth it. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
Yesterday in one of the coldest nights of the year I gedimated with a large group and enjoyed the warm hospitality and benevolent Caribbean cuisine in Spice Isle in Warren. That was my second visit. The cheese bread was as delicious as I remembered. Among the appetizers were the coconut and codfish fritters excellent. I had healed goats that tasted much better than it sounds. I had no desserts this time, but people really enjoyed them. Last time I had the Caribbean Rum Black Cake and it was delicious. Thanks to owner Joyce and server Jamala for what felt like a beautiful summer evening in January.
Walking in I would've thought this was a long established restaurant, but this wonderful place is only in it's first year! The atmosphere is classy, but warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and very personable. The food is unbelievable, every single thing was delicious and the festival bread!!! Amazing!!! You need to eat here!
