First visited on Good Friday after seeing recommendations online. So glad we persevered with the long queue. Fish was beautiful, light crispy batter and the chips were homemade, all cooked in beef dripping. We also had the Haggis rolls and curry sauce, so tasty. They make their own pies as well which are really really good. The cherry ones were lovely, served with custard. The owner is really friendly as is the lady who served us. Would highly recommend.
Great traditional chippy. boiled Yorkshire style in bark drops, big fish and also make their own cake
Friendly staff, lovely fresh food, fish was excellent! great service, will definitely be visiting again.
Absolutely deserving of five stars! The fish and chips were outstanding, and the homemade cake was delicious. The portions were generous for the price, and the owner was incredibly friendly. After searching for good fish and chips in the city with disappointing results, I’m so glad we found this place. Their excellent rating on Google is truly well-earned.
