I placed an online order early through the app to ensure my supper would be delivered on time, but it ended up being 30 minutes late with missing items and subpar quality. When I tried calling customer service, they just connected me back to the store where I had to wait 20 minutes to speak with a manager. The manager was unhelpful and belligerent, refusing to provide a refund for the missing items and even hung up on me. I am now planning to escalate this issue to head office and possibly involve the press. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience with this restaurant, and I strongly advise against ordering from them. It turns out they didn't even start preparing my order until 10 minutes after it was supposed to arrive, further adding to my disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this restaurant at all costs.
Since the Swiss Chalet opened, my family has been frequenting it almost every 2 weeks. Unfortunately, our orders are often incorrect and missing items. This has happened multiple times when ordering 4 or 5 dinners, with missing sauces, buns, fries, and salads. We have had to call the restaurant for missing items, which they deliver fairly quickly. However, this has been frustrating as it often results in someone in our group missing out on a key component of their meal. When picking up our orders, we have found it difficult to check the contents as the bags are taped shut. Overall, we have found that this restaurant struggles with takeout orders, which is a shame.
I have had a bad experience at this Swiss Chalet location twice now, and I feel obligated to warn others about it. Every time I have been there, I have had to wait a long time for my order, received the wrong order, and been served small portions that are more suitable for a child's meal, despite paying for an adult portion. To the store owners, please don't deny that I have been to your location - you do not ask for customer names, so you wouldn't even know who I am. I have visited your Wasaga Beach location, so don't try to change the facts.
Been to this location 3 times since they have reopened and all three times my order was screwed up! First two, asked for extra chalet sauce, got home and nope not in the bag! Tonight ordered two festive meals and while waiting they announced they were out of stuffing! At 5:45pm really??? Ok so ppl asked what will we get in place of stuffing. The girls response was, “we will give you extra chocolates”. Hubby said no to EXTRA chocolates but instead could he get extra cranberry sauce. Sure no problem, get home and missing chocolates and the voucher they were handing out with festive meals!!! What the hell. Phoned the store several times and NO ANSWER! Go figure!! Cannot see us ever going back!! We do not live in town, so its not like we can hop in the car and drive back! Better get this straightened out as we are not the only ones this has happened to!!
Patio is absolutely stunning, store looks great. Swiss Chalet Wasaga Beach , five star service. Canada's favorite family destination.
