The portion sizes are generous, with a focus on high-protein meals, making it great for various dietary needs. There is ample parking available, and they have a kids' menu with good selections, making it a family-friendly spot. Additionally, the venue is wheelchair accessible.
I ordered the brisket platter, which came with garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans. Unfortunately, they were out of baked beans, but the waitress kindly offered me any side I wanted. I opted for sweet potato fries and cornbread. The fries were amazing—crispy and not greasy at all, perfectly seasoned with sea salt flakes. The brisket was tasty, but it was sliced a bit too thick for my liking and served on an Italian bun. The Pico de Gallo didn’t resemble what I usually expect; it was just diced tomatoes. I’ve been to this restaurant several times, so I recognize the changes in their dishes. After my meal, I still felt hungry, as I was quite tired of what I had ordered. Meanwhile, my friend had chicken fajitas, and I couldn't help but feel envious! The chicken was accompanied by sautéed red, green, and orange peppers along with red onions, and it smelled absolutely delicious. Since I was still hungry, I decided to order their Angus bacon burger, but with the same toppings as her fajitas, just without the chicken. Oh my goodness, it was incredible! A definite home run!

Today, my boyfriend took some of the leftover mac and cheese and mixed it with the coleslaw. When I asked him if it was any less salty, he just laughed and said no. The coleslaw only helped to tone it down a bit. This was our first experience with Hog Fathers, and given all the great reviews, I really hope our experience was just a one-off. I've never encountered such salty macaroni and cheese or unpalatable slow-cooked green beans before. We picked up our order on 11/4/23, and I really hope it was just an anomaly. The ribs, on the other hand, were definitely delicious!
This place was amazing! They were only doing take out and were very accommodating when we asked to eat at a table, even bringing over our food. The food is very flavorful and some of the best bbq I have ever had! The baked beans and coleslaw were my favorite sides and the bbq chicken was to die for! Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Washington, PA.
