Nestled in the trendy Union Market, Righteous Cheese is a paradise for cheese enthusiasts. I recently attended a beer and cheese pairing at their bar, which featured six cheeses paired with three different beer samples. They provide classes that guide you through the pairing experience, complete with stories about the cheeses and beers. It was both enjoyable and delicious. However, the tasting only consisted of about one beer’s worth, which was a bit disappointing. They have an impressive selection of cheeses that goes beyond the usual varieties we’re familiar with. Delicious!

I went to a Google event at Righteous Cheese, and I was pleasantly surprised. Instead of the typical options, they offered unique cheese selections that paired perfectly with the wine. The staff wasn't just there as vendors; they knew a lot about the cheeses and their origins, which made the whole experience enjoyable and tasty. It's definitely worth a visit to Union Market, and it's a fantastic idea for a date as well!

I attended the Wine and Cheese event hosted by Google Local DC and was really impressed by the variety available. The speaker was incredibly knowledgeable, covering everything from the origins of the cheeses to the wine production process, cultivation methods, and even how to properly wrap cheese. Although my understanding of wine and cheese is somewhat limited, I found the pairings to be quite intriguing. I’m not usually a wine enthusiast, but I enjoyed two out of the three wines we tasted, as well as all the different types of cheese. If you’re new to the world of wine and cheese, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Firm, creamy, mild, stinky — they have everything one might want, and knowledgable and friendly cheesemongers to help guide your selection. All cheeses are cut to order, ensuring freshness and quality. Cheese pairings are educational and delicious. Absolutely love this place.

Their staff is well trained and can recommend all sorts of cheeses from behind their counter. On top of that here are just a few other things you'll find: All the friends of cheese like jams, meats, and the like (in case you're getting cheese for a picnic). Cheese bags in case you're making your own cheese. Cheese boards in all sorts of material including a giant DC shaped cheese board. Grilled cheese (with a side of hot honey to dip it in). If you love a grilled cheese, stop by for lunch or dinner. If you want a good cheese to munch on, this is your spot!
