The nachos also left much to be desired, as the mince was burnt and lacked flavor, with only a small amount of melted cheese. The corn chips were fine, but overall, our dining experience left us feeling unwell. My friend vowed never to eat there again, and I feel the same way.
I had visited this restaurant before and had mixed experiences. The soup and slices were good on my previous visits, but the toasted muffin was dried out. Since I was in a hurry, I hoped the food would be served quickly. The restaurant has been renovated since my last visit. The woman at the register was very loud when speaking to her staff. I overheard her saying things like "Take a break" and "Do we seriously have no pans left? We can't order lids from the supplier, etc." It was a bit off-putting to hear these discussions while trying to relax. I ordered the fritter with salad, which was already made and just needed to be reheated. I was the only customer there. The fritter was a bit soggy but still enjoyable. The meal took 15 minutes to be served.
We decided to grab coffee while waiting for the long lines at the nearby recycling place to die down. Thanks to GPS, we found a charming cafe that was just right for suburbia. The decor was tasteful and our waiter, William, was attentive and friendly. The coffee was excellent and the Brekkie muffin I ordered was delicious. My husband enjoyed his Open Sandwich as well. The prices were reasonable and we will definitely be returning.
The shopping centre was hectic and it was getting close to closing time. The staff had been packing away, but were very attentive in making sure the order was right. I ordered a coffee with an extra shot. It certainly hit the spot great taste, strong coffee, hot and quickly prepared. I will keep supporting this local cafe.
We 've been here before and returned today on our way home as we had enjoyed it previously. I can 't say that today measured up to past experiences. Ordering was an uncomfortable process even though the order was very straight forward; the coffee was wrong, which does happen but come on! There was barely any other patrons in the cafe, and that wasn 't a cheap coffee; and the food took 45 minutes to arrive, and it was very unappetising, especially the hollandaise sauce—which was cold—seemingly squeezed over the eggs Benedict. We just couldn 't finish. The waiting time really was the biggest bother, though, especially as there were staff around packing tables away, but one table next to us wasn 't cleared from the time before we arrived until after we left. It 's also not appealing to see your food waiting for several minutes on the counter to be delivered to you, the staff picking it up, talking over it, then putting it back down to go off and do something else, all the while you 're saying to yourself, The order 's ready. Just bring us our order! It 's the only cafe in the complex. One would assume it should be doing roaring trade, especially Sunday mornings.
