Yellow Chilli Indian - Wellington

I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats, and I was so impressed with the food that I felt I had to write a review. We tried the Chicken Sola and Salt and Pepper Prawns, and both dishes were absolutely divine. The Chicken Sola came with a refreshing minty dressing and was tender and flavorful. As for the prawns, they were beyond description—simply delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and I even have leftovers for breakfast. You won't be disappointed! I highly recommend this place—what a talented chef!

My favorite Indian restaurant in Wellington is just around the corner, and I've visited it for dates, takeaways, and BYOs more times than I can count! The staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is delightful.

Absolutely delicious! The tandoori chicken in the vindaloo is simply amazing. Ordering it "hot" means you get true Indian heat, not the milder European version, which makes it even better!

Excellent flavours, although as a rule of thumb always order one level hotter than you actually want: the mild is code for added sugar, so go get dat medium instead.Service with a smile. Ambience is usually nil but for the odd boisterous crowd of youths doing their BYOs. Still, lovely decor and sturdy seating to wait in for your order to be ready. Oh god, and the garlic naan! Sublime. Maybe not a destination restaurant but a reliable and tasty weeknight meal for sure.

I came here looking for something warm and filling after just getting off the plane and frantically trying to navigate to my stay (my first time in Wellington from Auckland)! <br/ <br/ I found the place with no trouble, as its hidden inside a house and you need to go down the stairs, and the waitress was very friendly, and made me feel more welcomed (seeing as I was dining alone). <br/ <br/ Her service was very good! Very tentative and patient! <br/ I ordered a Chicken curry dish which comes with rice and Roti--the roti was flaky, light and crispy, they were so good! <br/ The curry (I asked for mild) was creamy AND THE CHICKEN WAS SO TENDER! <br/ <br/ Was very satisfied with my meal, thanks Welly!
