Sakonis - Wembley

What a disappointment! We have previously eaten at Sakonis and the food and service have been acceptable. Last Saturday, accompanied by a couple new to Indian food, we made a late decision to celebrate a wedding anniversary at Sakonis. Despite assurances given over the phone, when booking an hour before arriving, the food that was meant to be mild was most definitely not mild! This was problematic for our friends and they had to leave a lot of it uneaten. A member of staff who served us was chewing furiously while serving! And when the table was fairly full the member of staff, arriving with a new dish, just shrugged shoulders and waited for us to make room rather than help reorganise the table to accommodate the new dish. Even though we made clear that we wanted some dishes as starters, everything arrived together, leaving the table full of plates. The quality of food was not in any way praiseworthy. And the cheek of adding 12.5% on the bill for sevice that was slow, inconsiderate, and quite unsatisfactory. Sakonis is off our list of a possible venue.

It’s not what it used to be. You get cold stuff from buffer when you order from a la carte which is more expensive for you to end up with cold food.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Sakonis. During my recent dinner, I was appalled to discover an unjustified service charge added to my bill. This is outrageous considering it was a buffet, and we served ourselves. Charging a service fee when no service was provided is a blatant rip-off. When I raised this issue while paying the bill, the staff were incredibly unhelpful and rude. Their unfriendly attitude only made the situation worse, showing a complete lack of customer care. This experience has left a very bad impression, and I will definitely not be returning to Sakonis. I advise others to be cautious of hidden charges and poor service at this establishment. So guys make sure you will check your bill and specially service charges in buffet
