Dump's Bbq - Wesson

08.31.23 *UPDATE* The barbecue is absolutely fantastic! However, the burgers left a bit to be desired. They seemed to be pre-packaged patties similar to what you'd find at a ballpark. If they were made in-house with fresh beef, it would make a significant difference considering the price. I really hope this issue can be addressed. I wish we could give half-star ratings because I feel this place deserves more than a 4 but just shy of a 5. The food overall was really good, although I found the sauce and tea to be a touch too sweet. Luckily, the vinegar dressing on the table helped balance it out for me. The pulled pork and ribs had excellent texture and flavor, and the beans were outstanding. My husband raved about the potato salad—I'll have to trust his word since I don't eat it. Our waitress, Miss Heaven, was incredibly warm and welcoming, and our kids absolutely adored her. We will definitely be coming back!

You can truly savor the time and effort they invest in their BBQ with every bite. I ordered the two-meat plate, choosing their chicken and ribs, accompanied by a side of baked beans. All three items were fantastic. If you're passing through Wesson, MS on Route 51, you absolutely must stop at Dump's BBQ.

We absolutely loved this restaurant, and I believe you will too! It's definitely worth the drive, no matter how far you are. The food was fantastic; I've never tasted better barbecue. The owner greeted us warmly at the door, making us feel right at home. The extra spaces in the restaurant are excellent—one room is dedicated to military personnel, while another is designed for kids to have fun. I can't say enough positive things about our experience here. I will definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

My husband and I came up here to the state lake to fish and was told to stop and try this place. The owner was at the door welcoming us in. The food was amazing. We got the sampler plate. The tenderloin with the dump sauce was our favorite. The service was great. He even took us on a tour of the pit. Great atmosphere and we'll definitely be coming back.
