El Torito - West Banks

Such a nice little restaurant which has all of the Mexican decorations up to give it a great ambience. They do fantastic margheritas too! Food is divine and comes out so quickly, the vegetarian enchiladas are my favourite after an entree of dips. Staff are so friendly and professional as well. Reasonably priced and right in the heart of west end!

Wow, food was very traditional and both waiters had personality plus. Lovely atmosphere and service was great. Will definately visit again.

Had an early dinner here on a Friday night. I had the chicken chimichanga which was filling and came with lots of chicken and a very fresh simple but nice lettuce salad. Service was lovely and friendly. My partner enjoyed his meal though did say the extra chilli provided still needed some more kick to it.

We have eaten here previously and had great meals but the burritos last night were pretty average. They had not been baked sufficiently, the beef was decidedly mediocre, and proportions of salad to beef were all wrong. Burritos are only $10 on Tuesday nights so maybe that had something to do with it. The Margaritas were fine though :-) So not a happy experience overall, but prepared to give them another chance.

Extremely disappointing. Went there with high hopes because of the reviews from various websites and pictures on their website. We ordered a vegetarian chimichanga which only had black beans on the inside and that's it. It wasn't even deep-fried (which is what a chimichanga is) and it was completely soggy. The enchilada had random vegetables in it, I think zucchini and that was also soggy. They were both very small. Flavours were OK but only because they salted everything. It all had the same taste and no diverse Mexican spices were present. The meal was late and I ordered a margarita that took as long as the food to come out. I would tell my friends and family to avoid this place. Looked like we were eating black sludge when we had the chimichanga.
