Shire Hall Cafe - West Dorset

We visited the caffe today on recommendation of a family member. our party consisted of two adult and a five-year-old. the caffe is very light, airy and open. there are steps that lead to caffe, but there is a lift for those who need help or are not able to climb the stairs. there was a nice selection of foods available and especially for me, there was a series of delicious gluten-free cakes. this is the great highlight for me to be gluten intolerance, as usually I must have prepacked dinge and it was nice to have a real disc cake on a plate. the personal was friendly, attentive and only too happy to help the prices were extremely reasonable, the coffee was delicious and it was nice to see a selection of real traditional drinks available, in contrast to only koks and limonade on draft. another great highlight was that the back room was opened and it was available for the children's art and crafts to make a selection of gifts for the Father's Day; maps, doorhangers, ties, a mustache. this is a big bonus point for me with a 5 year old daughter who sometimes sit boring on a table while the adult have a cup coffee. the crafts were all free, but there was a pot for donating on additional materials the caffe for younger visitors and for autistic visitors, additional materials that I thought was fantastic. there was also the opportunity to give feedback to their experience and recommend the dinge they would like to see the caffe do. I think this little gem is wonderful, I can't wait to go back and enjoy lunch and it's definitiw somewhere where I would visit again. there were parking spaces outside the street, but it is also just a few minutes to walk from the top of the city circular traffic as well as so easily accessible.

A group of 7 of us visited to try the breakfast club. good menu choice and enjoyed by all. excellent food and service. great value for money. will definitely go back!

This is a great, laid-back restaurant with a wide variety of menu options and friendly staff who are happy to answer any questions. We had lunch here and the food was served promptly and tasted delicious. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and there is an elevator available if needed.

The food selection and quality at this restaurant were excellent. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. The prices were very reasonable and the restaurant was also following Covid guidelines. Definitely recommend paying a visit.
