I went here last Saturday because of the poor reviews actually, plus I like trying everyone’s burgers. Now, I make a lot of burgers, I mince my own meat, make my own sauce, make my own buns (sometimes). So first all, this was not a bad burger, but not up there on my list again also. Like some reviews, the top bun was actually cold, not room temperature, but cold. That didn’t make a difference though, just thought it odd, because people have asked it its near an aircon or something. Ingredients appeared fresh, sever was pleasant and the place quite nice. What didn’t do it for me, is the cook on the burger patty, yes I know it’s a smash burger, but it was all over crispy to the point of being..almost burnt. It wasn’t burnt, but it’s thin, so just crispy bites.Also they put the sauce on the bottom bread bun, making it soggy half way through and there is a reason we toast our buns, so defeats the purpose. Those were the two things that make it a one time visit for me. Taste wise, it was nice, seems they used chuck or chuck brisket mix, which I use for mine, keeping an 80/20 mix of meat to fat, but making the burger crispy also defeats that point if you make it crispy. Overall, if they used one larger patty and cooked medium, would have been a tasty burger and I would return for. If you don’t mind that kind of crispy cook on the patties, then sure, worth a visit.
