Bought two pies to eat at home. When you buy a premium pie at premium prices you expect premium ingrediants. Not small cubes of things, some of which are meaty and berries the same size. in a rich salty sauce. The pastry was OK. The overall effect was of a licorice pie. Licorice? I didn't even know it was part of the contents but they were the only recognisable ingredients. Five or six woody fibre pieces in my half of the pie. I hope the lamb pie will be better.
Excellent Pies in the shop. All the selections look amazing. Would definitely recommend a stop in here if you are visiting.
A sign suggested vegan pies were available and we were very pleased to find some in stock. Celeriac, cauliflower, cannellini bean and mustard pie was incredible, very well seasoned, punchy flavours and very creamy. This alongside Nathan's famous piccalilli made a great dinner. You could see Nathan is passionate about his work, whether it's the handmade countertops or his pies. Can't wait to come back to try different flavours.
My dear friend/ little sister was working in Chipping Norton when she suddenly spotted the Mighty Pie Company and started raving about it on Whats App, a few days later she turned up with a Lamb Rosemary and Garlic pie. That evening I heated up said pie for me tea and OMG this pie was full to the brim with absolute gorgeousness, it was one of thoses I couldn't speak moments and if you know me they don't come around very often All I can say is if your in Chipping Norton go and visit Nathan and get yourself a PIE!
