Totem Drive Inn - Westport

It had been awhile since we 've eaten here. We have enjoyed the food in the past so I don 't know what happened last night. We ordered 2 baconeers, fries, onion rings, deep fried mushrooms, kids corn dog, and a root beer shake. It was the worst meal we have had in a long time. The only things that brought a tiny bit of enjoyment were the fries and corn dog. The hamburgers were flavorless as if they didn 't season the meat( being as they are ground with bacon you would think that would bring flavor), the sauce left a chemical aftertaste and they toasted the burgers on the outside leaving the buns hard and burnt tasting. The onion rings were bleh at the most, and the mushrooms were soggy, salty, and doughy. Just strange. I was wondering if it was just me at first but my husband( who is a big time burger man) agreed. It was awful. We threw most of it in the garbage awful. I hate McDonald 's but I almost wish we had went there instead awful. Not sure if we will return awful. Staff was friendly though. Made me feel like I lost money gambling....sigh

Had the best hamburger here tonight! The special made with ground sirloin with bacon ground in. It was pretty deserted so it is hard to judge what service would be on a normal night but the girl behind the counter was friendly and took good care is us. Had to have some ice cream before we left and the only downside was the waffle come was stale. With the quality of the burger they really should replace the frozen fries with the real thing. Then I think I would have to eat hamburgers every night.

Fantastic and very fresh fish and chips. Rich and wonderfully savory chowder. Huge and perfect bacon cheeseburger. Shakes were made with real Ice cream and fruit. The Service was helpful and very nice. You pay a little more here but it is totally worth it. As the saying goes you get what you pay for.

This place is absolutely horrible!!!! Owner is rude and inconsiderate to mentality handicap children... Cares more to caiter to his meth/heroin renters than to be a human.... I was in the area and my children we 're with myself and my husband.. My older son wondered on to his property.. Mind u my son is autistic.. I was inside a restaurant while my family was outside... This so called owner had a COW... when my husband tried to explain the situation he wouldn 't let him speak... I overheard it all and came outside... When I said my child is autistic he said and I quote I DONT GIVE A F#CK!! ...So I u have a mentally challenged person in ur group DON 'T GO HERE!!!!!!
