Chalet - Wheat Ridge

The food was poorly prepared; the potatoes were wet and soggy, the pancake had an odd flavor, and the coffee was lukewarm instead of hot. When I went to pay the hefty bill of $60 for three egg breakfasts, the cashier, Debbie, asked me how much I wanted to tip on my card. I've never encountered someone asking for a tip before payment! When I told her my amount, she actually scolded me, saying it wasn't enough! Seriously? I just spent $60 on a meal that was worse than McDonald's, the service was terrible, and then she had the audacity to tell me my tip was insufficient? It's unbelievable. Neither I nor my family will be returning to this place again. It was rude, unwelcoming, and completely lacking in taste!

I can't believe anyone can eat in a place with cockroaches crawling on the wall next to them. It made my wife sick, and she ended up throwing up in the bathroom and refusing to eat anything else. When we informed the waitress about the issue, she simply said she was busy and couldn't help. At the time of payment, she asked how much we would tip; we didn't leave any and requested a refund for my wife's meal since she got sick. The waitress responded that they couldn’t offer a refund because she had eaten some of it, claiming it was against city regulations to refund meals once they have been partially consumed! Are you kidding me? Really?? We didn’t leave a tip, and then I noticed on my debit statement that they charged an extra $4 on top of the $43 bill for poorly cooked food that tasted as bad as the cockroaches looked. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place; the only patrons seem to be a handful of locals grabbing coffee!

The staff at this restaurant were quite rude. They added a tip to the bill before we even paid! I tried to speak with the owner, who was sitting at a table in the back, but the cashier falsely claimed he was out shopping for groceries. The food was comparable to McDonald's, but what really bothered me was the insistence on a tip before settling the bill. When I left a $2 tip, the waitress acted like it wasn't sufficient. I won’t be coming back!

The cashier asked me how much do I want to put on the card for a tip, I told her and she gives me a dirty look like it wasn't enough. Ive never had anywhere ask for a tip before I pay, the food wasn't worth the overpriced money they charge and I suggest to stay away from this place. Ill never go back again. The cashier is very rude and she needs to be fired!

After we ate our mediocre breakfast, the typical eggs and sausage with wet potato's , not cooked, the waitress comes over for us to pay our bill and takes my card and then asks how much for a tip! I said WHAT? Ive never had anyone ask for a tip before I pay. I went ahead and said 2 bucks. A week later on my bank statement it was 5 dollars. What a joke, I contested this with my bank and they said there was nothing they could do. Stay away from this place with all measures.. Food sucks and waitress's are thieves!
