The cream of potato soup was delicious, though it had a surprisingly sweet flavor. Unfortunately, the chicken noodle soup was missing the noodles. The broiled salmon was enjoyable, and the grilled marinated chicken breast was excellent. However, the roast turkey breast seemed processed and fell apart easily, unlike natural turkey meat. My brother liked the chicken Marsala served with rice. The side of fresh mixed vegetables was very good. We also tried the apple cake, strawberry shortcake, and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.
The soup arrived barely lukewarm, and I found some pasta shells in it that looked like they had puffed up. I didn’t want to make a fuss, so I just ate it without saying anything. Then my tuna sandwich came out, but the fries were cold. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she said she would bring me new ones, thinking that crispy fries might be hot. However, when the new fries arrived, she simply grabbed the cold ones off my plate with her fingers and replaced them. After taking a few bites of my sandwich, I discovered that the tuna salad was actually chicken salad. I pointed it out to her, and she insisted that she had said chicken salad, so I begrudgingly continued eating it—it turned out to be the worst chicken salad I’ve ever tasted. While I can’t fault the waitress for being nice, the overall experience was not good, and I wouldn’t consider returning to this diner. I tend to write honest reviews, which might be why I'm not considered an Elite reviewer—I’ve been advised to soften my critiques.
The service was great but once again the pancakes were so dry and not even hot. I was with a group so I didn't send it back. When you cut them they fell apart. I had better at McDonald's. If you can't even make pancakes maybe find another line cook.
Came here for late night breakfast, took 1.5 hours, got meal 10 mins before they were closing. Cold as can be, waiter must've forgot. Desserts were stale and expensive. This place used to be great but not anymore.
I've been there twice this past week and the food was unappealing both times. The taco salad bowl was bland. The ground hamburger tasted off like it was yesterdays meat reheated. Today I had the roast Turkey with filling, mashed potato's and gravy. It tasted like hospital food. The potatoes were instant and very bland, the gravy was from a jar and also bland. The Turkey was not fresh Turkey as advertised but rather pressed/processed. No cheese at salad bar. Disappointing. They're cutting too many corners. I miss the tasty food that place was once known for years ago. It was also very loud as staff were yelling as they passed the tables. Sometimes I could barely hear myself think. Just not a pleasant experience at all.
