Twisted Steel Barbeque - Whitesburg

This is a wonderful little restaurant where the food is served quickly and with a friendly smile.

I ordered BBQ pork, Brunswick stew, and onion rings. The pork was tolerable, but the onion rings and stew had a lower quality and taste that reminded me of hospital food. The portion sizes were also lacking. Overall, this is definitely not a place we would return to.

The food was fantastic, though I wish the bark on the brisket had a bit more flavor. The brisket itself melts in your mouth as you eat it. Their homemade barbecue sauces are excellent—not too overpowering like some traditional sauces can be. The mac and cheese was unlike anything I've tried before, and the jalapeño cheddar cornbread was amazing—rich in flavor and very moist. The prices are quite reasonable, especially since all the sides are sold separately, except for the main plates. I will definitely return to try the street tacos!

This small BBQ place is excellent. If you are driving by and feel like BBQ, by all means try it. The food is really good and the prices are awesome. I recommend the hot dog and the drunk peaches!

Little place with big heart. Food was great. Server was really good and nice. Would go back if ever in the area.
