Closed: Sugar Slice - Whitley Bay

I wish I could give this place 5 stars. The menu was mostly vegan and the potatoes with delicious toppings were amazing. The pizza toppings were unique compared to typical pizzerias and it was evident that high-quality ingredients were used. The dough was perfect, even better than what I've had in Italy, and I really enjoyed the vegan cheese. The service was excellent and there was a cozy family atmosphere. We all, including my 3-year-old and 8-month-old, loved it. We will definitely be coming back.

I think this pizza is absolutely delicious. Even though HappyCow won't let me give them 5 stars because they also serve meat, the pizza is truly amazing. I tried the vegan pepperoni and it was delicious. The owners are passionate about veganism and they also have a great selection of beers.

I wish I could give 5 stars for this place. the menu was mostly vegan. the potatoes were delicious with really delicious toppings. the pizzeria toppings were a change from the bog standard pizzeria offerings and the use of high-quality ingredients was obvious. the teig was perfect (better than iw in italy) and I loved the vegan cheese that was used. brilliant service and a beautiful warm family feel at the place. we all loved it including my 3 years and 8 months old. we will be back

Absolutely beautiful pizza. they must serve an alli audience in the opposite, so happycow does not allow me to give them 5 stars, but honestly the pizza is incredible. had the fake paprikas. owners are passionate about veganism and also have good beers

The dough was perfect (better than what I've had in Italy) and I especially enjoyed the vegan cheese they used. The service was excellent and there was a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Everyone, including my 3-year-old, enjoyed it. We will definitely return.
