Toast - Whittier

Matthew welcomed us with enthusiasm upon seeing our Boxers! He was quick to seat us on the patio, which was fantastic. Our server, Janelle, was exceptionally attentive, not only to our furry friends but also to our drinks and food. We are visiting from Chicago for a short trip, and this experience was truly wonderful and delicious! Food: 5/5

From the moment we entered the restaurant and noticed the thoughtful little details—like the pink Himalayan salt in each table's salt shaker and the first sip of their incredible cold brew coffee—we knew we were in for a special experience. I ordered the Santa Barbara, featuring fresh smoked salmon with cream cheese on marble rye. A light sprinkle of freshly chopped dill added the perfect finishing touch to my breakfast. The salmon was chilled and firm, providing a delightful contrast to the crunchy marble rye. The service was attentive without being overwhelming, which made our experience even better. We will definitely be returning!

We've dined here multiple times, and each visit has been fantastic. The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is warm and friendly. As a new establishment, they are dedicated to improving their service and offerings every week. It's run by a young local resident from Whittier. I decided to give this restaurant another chance after not visiting for about 2-3 years. The service was, as always, outstanding— the staff was friendly and efficient. Since I ordered our meal to go, I won’t factor in the ambiance. The restaurant is small and cozy, but the patio area offers more space. The eggs Benedict were decent; the quality of the ingredients was good, but being in a container for 5 minutes definitely affected their crispiness. I’m hopeful that during our next visit, we can sit down and enjoy the full experience, which should improve my rating.
