All amazing. Great service, atmosphere, drinks and food. Highly recommend for a night on the town.

We will never come back due to the Manager 's dismissive attitude! We came after an event. We heard the food was good, and it was. We were met with a Hostess who had a disposition in her Attitude though we were kindly asking if we could sit outside and have Drinks 's hike we waited. Her presumptuous Attitude and answers set the tone. We were set outside on a wet picnic table, in the cold and told we couldn 't use the heaters due to the umbrellas being open. Mind you it was night time on a December night! when we don 't need umbrellas opened! Our waitress Lindsey was great. She came in and helped us get settled. Turned heaters on. There were some mistakes in our order, which is understandable as we are all human and it was a little busy. Two kids meals came out and we only ordered one. We only kept one, and we ordered one sweet drink to share between two kids as a reward treat. She brought 4 small skinny glasses because she said all the kids were excited at the table. We didn 't think anything of it and figured one drink was split evenly between the 4 kids. My husband paid the bill. and once we left asked about what everyone ordered. Once we left, we realized all the mistakes in the bill. We walked two blocks back and talked to Lindsey, who was kind and helpful. She went to the manager on duty to correct bill. By this time, it was near closing and barley any patrons left. INSTEAD of coming. To talk with us, the manager sent Lindsey back out to let us know that the 4 $6 lemonades, that we didn 't order (that made it $24 for kids lemonades! would not be refunded. The extra kids meal that wasn 't ordered was refunded. Lindsey offered to give us the money for the unordered lemonades, but of course we would not accept that for her! THE ISSUE: We have both worked in the service industry and understand how it works. We never have a problem paying what we order, even if it 's subpar. For a manager of a restaurant of this Caliber, during a dead period before closing, to not come out and acknowledge us and help fix the issue, is the problem. We spent $176 on a shrimp and grits, one kids burger, 2 1/2 burgers and one beer! She/he didn 't even show his face when there was an issue. If I were The owner of this establishment, I 'd be appalled and train my management in personal relation and would want to know about instances like this. We Will not be patrons of this establishment again nor ever recommend to anyone.

Mark swapped my pickle beer for an in-house brewed hazy IPA, which I appreciated. I really liked the poutine—it was fantastic. The soup was also quite impressive, featuring a rustic, herbal flavor that set it apart from your typical chowder. I wasn’t quite sure how the pickled beech mushrooms fit into the dish, but they didn’t take away from the overall experience; you could barely taste their vinegar unless you happened to get one of the few that were floating in the otherwise creamy and delicious bowl. (Seriously, the soup is great on its own). Overall, I think Amber Ox is an excellent brewpub. The food is great, the bar staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and there's even a leprechaun! Mark’s tip jar deserves to be a pot of gold. Just putting it out there!

What an incredible discovery on our road trip! We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic service, tasty food, and authentic craft beer. Our server, Rae (or Ray?), was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, and the smoked wings were among the best I’ve ever tasted. The prices were very reasonable, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this place! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this restaurant truly deserves it.
