Unfortunately, we also ordered side salads that were among the worst I’ve ever had, and certainly not worth the $5 price tag for each. This experience definitely impacted my overall rating. As for the service, it was just okay; I had to wave down the busy bartender to request silverware after our food was served.

The beer and drink selection is quite good. We ordered the fish and chips, which were crispy, but unfortunately, the meal was served in a pool of oil. This caused the fish to fall apart from its batter and left many of the fries soggy. Our server was hard to locate, but we were fortunate that the person clearing the tables nearby was very helpful. He either fetched our waitress for us or brought us what we needed himself.

The food here is fantastic, and the staff is both helpful and friendly, all set in a delightful atmosphere. This is hands down the best restaurant in Colonial Williamsburg, and they also offer several excellent gluten-free options.
