El Barrio - Windhoek

Amazing food and friendly personal. One of the best mexican restaurants that I've ever eaten before

For Spanish food in Namibia, El Barrio isn’t bad. Good cocktails, nice outdoor space and friendly helpful staff. The only downside is the slow service. You can’t order a few dishes and then order more unless you want to wait for hours. The grilled calamari, paella and papas bravas were quite good. We will return but we will order everything up front.

Excellent experience. Enjoyed my time there. Their menu has a variety of drinks and food. The music is amazing. Sometimes the music is too loud for the older generation. I suggest this place to you people. Their location is just hidden away. I think they may do better on a location where they are not so hidden. I suggest that they look for another location after the Corona Virus (covid 19). Sadly I live near the Grove Mall, but I would go there more often, if I could be closer.

The place is nice and cousy but the services was slow and bad. The menu is very limited and some menu items run out leaving too little room for choices. In the end you just go for the one that you see not taking long. The Waiter was not knowledgeable of the menu and could not advise that well.
