Heartland Inn - Winkler

I usually stay in Winkler once a month for work. So I get to try out a few restaurants around town. For the last few months its been the lounge at the Heartland Inn (Comfort Kitchen). I ordered the ribs thinking they would be ok....More

Having a Christmas Supper with a special friend. We enjoyed Salad and a taco salad that had a nice crispy shell which was light and appetizing. I also enjoyed a nice specialty tea. The service was fast and friendly and our waitress did her best to make sure all our needs were met.

My family, 5 adults and 3 children, were just at the restaurant on Sunday. We waited at least 45 minutes for food and the drinks arrived at about the same time, though the server continually passed our table. When the drinks came, the order was wrong. The kids' meals were good, grilled cheese and chicken fingers, but my dad's steak and my mom's burger were burnt. The Caesar salads and coleslaws were drowning in dressing, and my brothers's steak was cold. They offered a 10% discount, but my savvy sister-in-law got 50% off. Well she should as the meal and service were more than 50% bad.

More rents and lots of room,the brunch was good but a little slow.lots of variety,ran out of meatloaf and soon thre was fish and shrimp,fresh mashed potatoes,all the breakfast stuff and fruit,and cream deserts

The most romantic place in Winkler, by far. Rooms are well kept, clean, and modern. Free wifi and a cool lounge and restaurant in the same building (far enough that noise is not an issue), Staff is accommodating.
