Meimei Chinese Restaurant - Winkler

Excellent food. Good variety although I prefer to order off of the menu instead of the buffet. Too many deep fried selections.

We enjoy the buffet which is kept piping hot and fresh as seems to be cooked in small batches.The restaurant and washrooms are very clean if plain.

Only place in town to get genuine Chinese!! That’s place on 1st street is a waste of money mei mei all the way

We went to Mei Mei's a couple of weeks ago for dinner. They were serving the buffet. One of the people that we were with that evening is Gluten intolerant and she asked to see a menu as she could not eat anything from the buffet. The owner's son said NO, we are only doing the buffer, this was after it took them 15 minutes to bring glasses of water. We explained the reason and he said NO again or you will have to wait an hour for it. Needless to say no one at our table was happy with that. We got up and walked out. Their buffet is also always the same, nothing ever changes. Service is terrible there too. I would not recommend them to anyone anymore because of the poor service. May be hire someone who can actually speak English as well.

Ordered off menu. Food was OK however have had better Chinese food. Atmosphere is tired..one must remember, this is a German/Mennonite town which specializes in German food.
