Scratch Tapas and Craft - Winter Park

We got stuck in Orlando due to weather at home, and happened upon Scratch due to other reviews. We could not have been more impressed! Scratch is small, but fun. The chef is the owner and sole cook, and her food is incredible. She's also incredibly friendly and accommodating. It's a small menu, but everything we had was amazing. The salmon is a must-try. As a resident of Chicago, I have high food expectations and Scratch did not disappoint. Make sure you stop by if you're in the area.

Food was exceptional. Place was understaffed, but all staff friendly. If they had more staff it would've been fine! We ordered 2 appetizers and a glass of wine and were there for an hour with most of the time waiting, we left to go elsewhere to order entrees. Again, what came from the kitchen was phenomenal, so looking forward to when their service speeds up!

The restaurant has the potential to be fantastic. It is a beautiful establishment. However, during my visit, a guest was allowed to bring a car seat to the bar counter, which was not placed discreetly but rather in the middle of the dining area. While I understand that babies should be allowed everywhere, we were hoping for a more intimate and adult dining experience as we were celebrating a birthday. It turned out that the guest with the car seat was actually a staff member who had their day off but came in to spend time with colleagues. This situation killed the intimate and boutique atmosphere that the restaurant is known for. I may consider giving it another try in the future.

The food was incredible and the staff was very attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed this charming restaurant.
