I had high hopes for Sea Basket, but unfortunately, I found the cleanliness lacking. The bread was more doughy than crispy. The onion rings were thin and had a bland flavor reminiscent of plain bread. The fries tasted like something I could easily prepare at home in the oven. On a positive note, the chicken was genuinely moist on the inside and not overcooked.
As a newly diagnosed celiac, adjusting to a gluten-free diet has been quite challenging. So, I was thrilled to discover that Sea Basket offers gluten-free bread and has a dedicated gluten-free fryer. This is fantastic! Their gluten-free bread is made from a blend of rice, chickpeas, and corn, so be sure to double-check when you order. The onion rings were just as delicious as the scallops. In fact, everything was great, but those onion rings were definitely my favorite!
We came to the closing time (unconscious) and turned to go, but we were welcome and they stayed a few minutes extra open to make dinner for my toddler and I. Everybody was so friendly. The restaurant was clean and beautiful. Dinner was delicious! The Haddock Chowder was excellent! We love this clamp in our community. Five stars.
We wanted a lobster roll and we got some! Tastey and delicious. A bit pricey but worth the buy for real Maine lobster. Stop by if you are vacationing!
