We had no tapas menu, but went as a group to dinner. eating was very common. I had fish that were as small and tasted like rubber. I think it was seafood extender. my partner had the pasta that he wasn't finished....The room was hot and the meals were bought so slowly that some of the party were finished and the others still eat.
I enjoyed the wein we chose, the service was friendly and helpful. the place felt somewhat cold (in terms of atmosphere, not temperature) the decor was a little confused. I personally did not cost the tapas we ordered, they sounded good on paper, but not... live up to my expectations on the teller. the mais and drilling under the Argentinian cattle kewers seemed to have just come out of a dose. they would have been nice to be a little cooked or dressed to add the spits. I would give them a second chance, maybe during a Friday or Saturday night, if the place is more alive.
My family of 8 adults and 6 children had a wonderful lunch on the adlingtons to the vatertag. the owner peter greeted us cordially, explained the menu, and brought us the most delicious series of tapas, of which everyone was mouthful, of children and adults...a talented singer/guitarist gave entertainment, and we all agreed that it was a perfect place for a family-proof. we will return!
Six of us really enjoyed our night at Adlingtons. We started with a lovely sparkling wine, followed by the pinot noir, fat and lastly a grenach shiraz, sorry bas& $d name escapes me. All beautiful wines. Enjoyed all the food. Especially the mushrooms and artichokes. We...tried most of what was on the menu and all good. They are tapas so not big serves. Certainly felt satisfied though. Peter, the owner is a world of knowledge on wine. He has a wonderful kit called 88 aromas of wine. If you get the chance get him to take you through it. Really interesting and good fun. Only small negative is the decor/ambience probably needs a little work. All in all however an excellent addition to Wollongong. Will definitely be going again.
