Thai Crown Restaurant - Wollongong

I travel to Wollongong at least 4 times per year for business. When I visited in September I was exhausted and decided to order delivery from Thai Crown (the closest restaurant to my hotel, and recently opened since my previous visit). Back in September 2016, I didn't have high hopes but was very pleasantly surprised. Order was very quick, was delivered by an extremely friendly and enthusiastic older man, and the food was great!On this visit, I have only returned from Bangkok two weeks ago. And yes, while the flavours aren't the same (there isn't a Thai restaurant in Australia that can truly replicate authentic Thai flavours!!), I still really enjoy the food. This is my new go-to Thai restaurant when travelling to Wollongong for work.

I was excited to have my first lunch here today. Plenty of people in the restaurant for midweek lunch, plenty of lunch choices for $9.00. But.....my beef with drunken noodles was flavourless and seriously there was hardly any meat (beef in this meal)I saw the size of four other lunch meals delivered to different tables while I was there and compared to most asian restaurants in Wollongong, the portion size here is well below the average.The service was good and the restaurant looks good. I will try a curry one day but will make sure I'm not very hungry.

Amazing massaman curry, spring rolls and chicken fried rice I'm fussy when it comes to meat dishes.....this was really good and having been to Thailand many times it was quite authentic I'd highly recommend

Went for lunch, service is friendly and fast and the food is amazing. I had the drunking chicken noodle a great dish with amazing flavors good portion sizes all for $9

Had dinner once with friends, service excellent as it opened for us, as we were early that day. Serves best thai food in Wollongong. Also has cheap lunch option.
